Mayor London N. Breed announces that she will appoint Brooke Jenkins to serve as District Attorney (DA) for the City and County of San Francisco. Jenkins, who previously served as an Assistant DA in the San Francisco DA’s Office, has over 15 years of experience as an attorney. Jenkins will serve for the remainder of the current term, following the recall of DA Chesa Boudin on June 7, 2022. With her appointment, Jenkins becomes the first Latina DA in San Francisco history.
