The decal is part of KAG’s ongoing Mobile Safety Campaign, launched in 2012, which now features more than 300 Kenan Advantage Group trailers across North America displaying photos of impaired driving victims alongside a “Call 911” message. The campaign aims to raise awareness and prevent drunk/impaired driving tragedies like the one that took young Geo’s life when he was enjoying a family dinner on a restaurant patio.

Erb Group helps raise $40,000

The Erb Group helped raise $40,000 for the Local Community Food Centre by supporting the Stratford 5K Run and Walk. Held at Upper Queens Park in Stratford, Ont., the event attracted 450 participants on, doubling the funds raised from last year.

In addition to providing financial contributions, the company delivered race barriers. The Erb team volunteered at the race, ensuring runners stayed cool and hydrated by distributing water refreshments throughout the event.

“As an essential industry, we’re conscious of the needs of the communities we serve and the role we can play through our specialized equipment and mission of bringing food to family’s tables,” said Wendell Erb, chief executive officer of The Erb Group. “By continuing to sponsor the Stratford 5K, we are able to support important organizations like The Local Community Food Centre, which enhances food security and deepens our connections within the community by providing access to fresh and healthy food.”

Since becoming a presenting sponsor in 2022, The Erb Group has contributed $16,500 to the event, according to a news release. This year’s race, which spanned two days, also introduced a Health & Wellness Expo, further uniting businesses and community members around the shared goal of promoting good health and food access.

The proceeds will benefit programs that focus on cooking, growing, and sharing healthy food.
